Legacy Center TL Was Life Changing

Legacy Center Foundation’s

TL program has been a life-changing experience.  I’ve gotten so much good out of it. I’ve used this program to change myself to be more responsible, loving, caring, compassionate, accepting, and find out more of who I am. I’ve created friendships and relationships that are
deeper and more satisfying because of teen leadership. I have a closer
relationship with my parents and my brother. Teen leadership has
inspired me to take on the world to follow my dreams however corny
that sounds its real for me. I feel like I can just be myself, and it
is so freeing

    Legacy Center Foundation Teen leadership teaches kids how to be responsible, how to be giving, appreciative, loving, contributing members of society. I say every child was born to be great and that Teen leadership “Slingshots” them out into the world with all of the keys we wish we had as kids!!
    There is no more powerful experience that I know of for Teenagers in this part of the country. It is spectacular, both as a volunteer and as a parent with two Teen Leadership graduates!
    It has completely given us the skills we needed to keep connected through the teen years.

Legacy Center Foundation Teen Leadership

Throughout my life, I’ve always just followed what everyone else was doing. When I did Legacy Center Foundation’s Teen Leadership, Program many things changed for me.  I realized that I don’t need to follow the crowd.  Following the crowd it not what life is about.  There isn’t any point in trying to be like everyone else, we are all unique anyway.  Before Legacy Center Teen Leadership, I had self-image problems. I do still sometimes have problems with my image, but I have become much more confident. I’m no longer afraid to say how I feel, and I don’t follow what the crowd is always doing.  Because of my experiences in Legacy Center Teen Leadership, I have grown a tremendous amount as a perso

After completing Legacy Center Teen Leadership (TL), I gave back by staffing the program.  Staffing TL was amazing.  It’s a great feeling knowing I’ve made an impact on someone else’s life. I really enjoyed watching some of the kids come through Teen Leadership and watch how they changed from the beginning to the end.  Staffing Teen Leadership is a phenomenal experience, and make’s me excited for the kids in the program and their future. Knowing they left feeling good and confident is great. ♥

For me, the most valuable parts of Legacy Center Foundation Teen Leadership was when I got clear on who I get to be in the world.  It was like I had the chance to start over.  That is now what I live my life by.  I now have choice.  I am a strong, passionate, beautiful, caring, young woman.  Whenever I feel unsure or nervous about something, I have choice about who I am and who I am is the first thing that pops into my mind. It calms me. If I ever feel lost I now have tools to get me connected to who I really am in the world.♥
